This afternoon our scripture for day 6 was from Mark 10:13-16. In this passage Jesus told his disciples to let the children come to him and he blessed them. Christ loved children.
Our activity for the day was to attend the annual Christmas party at our church. There was a delicious ham dinner followed by a short program with a reading of Luke 2, a lovely piano solo, and then a story telling. It was too much for Gideon though. The boy woke up at 4:30 for the day so he was done.
When the program was over there was a special visitor. We've never had much luck with Santa before, but this year Charlotte allowed him to lift her onto his lap and nodded when he asked if she was a good girl. Pretty good given how shy she can be.
Lily wouldn't look him in the eye, but for the first time ever she talked to Santa. She is still asking for a skateboard... My timid, careful child has been intent on getting a skateboard since June. I expected it to be a passing interested, but I guess that I was wrong.
I love Charlotte's eyes in that pic! Too funny!
