Boo at the Zoo

Today my sister Sarita and I took our little ones to Boise's Boo at the Zoo. It was really busy, but it was nice to take our babies out and a great excuse to dress them up!
Here is Junior in his flight suit and Lily as a Fall Fairy. The location of the Zoo is beautiful and we found this cute little corner by the water and took some pictures. Lily was a hit! We got there too late for the costume contest for her age group, but we got lots of compliments.Junior playing the the penguins.

...Five Months...

Yet another month has passed. Today our little Lily is 5 months old!

She is weighing in at 17 lbs 3 oz and is 24.5 inches long. She has grown so much in the last five months, and even though I miss my newborn baby, this fun interactive phase is great. She loves to play and talks all day long. She can even give kisses!

Another month means another onesie.

And of course we have Lily as our model:
The Front:The Back:With her Luvy:She isn't loving tummy time these days, but she does scoot herself around quite a bit.Daddy wanted to try ironing board surfing. I'm not so sure that I like this idea.We have started playing around with solids and I think that this is her way of telling us that she would like to try bananas next.

Liz's Wedding

It was a busy weekend for us. On Saturday my twin sister, Liz, was married to Eric Roundy. It was wonderful to have our entire family together again and wonderful to celebrate their marriage. Congratulations you two! We are so happy for you!
And because some friends asked, here is Lily in the dress that I made for her to match her little aunts.

Happy Birthday Junior!

Yesterday my nephew Junior turned one-year-old. Since Liz stole the day for her wedding his birthday party was this afternoon.
While waiting for dinner he had fun playing with Lily's orangutan. He is such a big boy and he is so blasted cute! Lily crawled around on Grandma's other couch. For our family picture on we purchased these matching outfits for Lily and her aunt Krystal. Since we showed up with Lily wearing hers Krystal had to run upstairs and change into hers. She loves to match her little niece. In our family my mom always made us whatever we wanted for our birthday dinner. So, Junior's mommy Sarita made him his favorite food and he at it up!And of course what is a birthday without cake. Junior loves chocolate so Sarita made him chocolate cupcakes and he devoured it!For games Junior and the other little ones played "stick the chicken on the barn".And of course, birthday presents! I love the cap, I can't remember who gave it to him, but is great! I recently took up knitting so I made him a little wool coat. I think that his mommy and daddy liked it more than Junior did.Toys are so much more fun that clothes. It was a long weekend and in the end, we all needed a rest.

Oscar and Lily

Tyson and I were laying in bed yesterday morning with Lily and Oscar came in to play. Lily loves to play with her puppy and he is very tolerant of her. He lets her grab his whiskers, pull at his eyes and ears and doesn't complain at all. video
She loves it when Oscar licks her. video

Attempting Solids

Our pediatrician told us that we should start trying some solids out. He recommended the rice cereal to begin with. I still think of rice cereal as a swear word (some of my friends will understand this) so it was actually hard for me to try it already..
Anyway, we made a go of it. We started out with some rather soupy cereal.
"What is this stuff?""Is this how it works?"She likes it!
"Where did it all go?"
