Swimming Pool Fun

This afternoon Lily and I went swimming with some of my family. We went to Eric's uncle's house in Kuna and played around in their family pool and it was so much fun. Along with Sarita, Eric and Junior, we had Ali and Chaz as well has my four youngest brothers. This is my nephew Junior with his daddy and he is just cuter every day. In the back is Ali and her husband Chaz who it holding my youngest brother, Jack. This is my older sister Sarita with our brother Josh.It was Lily's first time swimming in anything other than the bathtub and she did great. She kicked around for about an hour and wore herself out. This is our little bathing beauty. Her uncle Jack borrowed her hat for a little and it was rather hot and bright outside, but we managed to not get a sunburn, or even a bit pink.We really did have a lot of fun. We'll have to find another time to go when Tyson isn't working.

Look-a-likes

In January I had the ultrasound where I found out that the baby that we were expecting would be a girl. As soon as she told me that it was girl I got this image in my head of Tyson working out in his garden with a 2 year-old little girl that was dressed up like her daddy helping him pull the weeds. I don't know why, but that image popped in my head and made me smile.
Well, Tyson has a bit of a summer uniform, cargo shorts and a white t-shirt, often with a bandana on his head. So, when I was about 7 months along a saw this little pair of camo cargo shorts and I bought them for Tyson and Lily.
This morning I slept in a bit while Tyson took care of Lily. Part of this morning care involved dressing her. He came back into our room this morning and this is what she looked like.I guess that this is her little punk "don't mess with me" face.

Redfish Lake

We decided that it was time to take Lily on her first camping trip so Monday morning we drove up to Redfish Lake. Since she is only 2 months old we just went for one night. It was a lot of fun. We mostly just relaxed and then Tuesday morning went for a nice hike. We didn't really plan in advance so thankfully we were able to get a campsite. Lily was all bundled up for the night. She managed really well, especially since it was below 40 degrees that night. Oscar did amazingly well! He had a blast during our hikes and he loved meeting new people.
These are a couple of views from our campsite.
Sunrise on Tuesday morning.
We hiked up along this creek on Tuesday morning and my goodness it was beautiful!
A view of the lake from our hike.
A shot of the beautiful Sawtooth Mountains.

Lily had a blast!Since this little trip went so well we are planning a few more. These are so many fabulous places to go camping and hiking around here, I love living in Idaho!

...Two Months...

Time continues to just fly by and today our little Lily is two months old.

She continues to grow more and more everyday. I find myself wondering where my newborn baby went. She smiles more and more every day now and loves to talk to just about anyone or anything.

Just like last month, I made another little onesie to mark her growth.
The Front:The Back:And here is Miss Lily modeling it for us:
Showing off the front and her precious smile:The back and her little tush:And with her little bear:I took one last month with her bear and I plan to do that each month so that we can really see how she has grown.

Lily's Blessing

Lily's blessing was last Sunday, on July 5th and it was beautiful! Tyson did such a great job! Anyway, I wanted to share a picture of her in her beautiful little dress.
It makes me sad that I don't have another good reason for her to wear it.

Family Reunion

My family is now officially big enough and spread out enough that we called our recent get together a reunion. It was so much fun! Liz brought home her boyfriend Eric and Rick flew in from his internship in Dallas.
It started out in Boise. On Saturday morning we all went to the temple. First we went through with Liz and then the 6 children that my parents adopted were sealed to my mom and dad. It was awesome and a wonderful experience for us all to be able to be there together.
This is now our most recent family photo:After lunch we all hit the road and went up to Donnelly. We had rented a cabin and stayed there until Tuesday. It was right on the lake and just beautiful! However, it rained ALL THE TIME! So, we didn't spend much time on the lake but we still had a blast because we were all there together!
